Restorative Care

Tooth decay has diminished over the years due to awareness and prevention. However, dental caries is still the number one reason people lose their teeth. Thanks to modern technology, we offer a wide range of restorative options.

When is restorative care needed?
  • tooth decay

  • unwanted space between teeth

  • an improper bite

  • to relieve discomfort

  • tooth repair

  • worn dental fillings

Fillings

What we can do to help:

Dr. Magda will make sure that she does everything she can to restore your tooth. Fillings help repair teeth that are affected by decay, cracks or fractures. It helps preserve the tooth. Note that like most dental restorative treatments, over time they wear down and may someday need to be replaced.

What are composite and amalgam fillings?

Composite fillings are made of a material that is highly recommended by dental professionals. It offers a nice finish to the tooth as it matches the tooth colour. Composites blend in very well with your teeth giving it a natural look.

Amalgam fillings consist of a combination of different metals such as silver, tin and copper. Dental amalgam has a long track record in dentistry. The "silver" fillings, as they are commonly called, are strong and durable. However, they lack the esthetic appeal many patients are looking for today.

Dr. Magda will discuss both types of filling materials with you while planning your treatment.

Crowns

What are crowns?

Crowns or caps are meant to restore a tooth surface to it’s original shape and size. The crown will restore the tooth structure when other restorations cannot restore it.

Crowns are required when:

  • there is significant tooth damage

  • for cosmetic reasons

  • a filling cannot be repaired

Bridges

Fixed bridge

This is  a permanent solution to replace missing teeth. Dental bridges last a long time and are very durable.

To ensure their longevity, routine check-ups are required.

Dentures

Partial and Complete Dentures

A denture is a way to replace missing teeth. It is a removable appliance that is functional and easy to clean.

A partial denture replaces a few teeth when a complete denture replaces all teeth in one arch.

Dental Implants

What is a dental implant?

Dental implants are a natural looking solution to replacing teeth.  We offer specialist recommendations when this care is necessary.  It is a fixed solution.

Dr. Magda will guide your implant treatment by recommending you to a trusted local specialist she is working closely with, and will do the restorative treatment over the implants for you.
